No more hunting for VST’s and such. I found my home.

FUCK!

My screen went pink and green. Somebody fix this, I can’t afford a new laptop!

Late Night Piezo Fun!

February 16th, 2010

So I ordered a bag of piezos over the internet and they finally came in. After destroying a 1/4inch cable that didn’t work I decided to reuse one of it’s ends and wire it up to one of the piezos. It’s fun to play around with, defiantly getting some inspiring idea’s for future tracks.
I would post a sound clip of how this thing sounds like but I feel like it has more potential then me tapping my desk (I haven’t really done much with it yet), so maybe in the future.
Yes, it also works as a speaker! And I picked up the soldering iron by the wrong end and ended up burning my hand in the process.

Prototype

February 7th, 2010

Well, after much circuit bending and modification I figured out how to make vintage chip-tune music. What I done here was convert analog tape into digital Gameboy data which allows me to record all my 8-bit music on really noisy tape anywhere I go. Instructions and schematics are going to show up sometime in the future.

A or B

January 31st, 2010

A – Pay $40,000 in loans after 4 years of being educated in school?
B – Get a loan for $40,000 to buy a TB-303 and make millions of dollars next week?

Simple.

January 21st, 2010

Simple. I hate that word, it sounds boring, it is boring. Especially when using it to describe art. Unless, you use the word ‘Minimal’ to describe something. You can still make minimal artwork and have it intensely interesting and a lot going on. Just from the texture, composition, and color. Taken straight from the dictionary the word ‘Simple’ means “easy to understand” and “not elaborate; plain”.

It just bugs me.

Ahhhh….!

January 17th, 2010

Went to the Goodwill store hoping I’d find a Casio keyboard or some sort of musical device. I ended up finding a amazing looking Technics SL-1200 for 10$. I have to be dreaming I thought, this is unbelievable! I come up to the cash register, oh look, I don’t have my wallet. I go home come back and it’s already taken by someone else.
Always next time… right? Right?!

[edit]
Err, just found out the audio receiver I bought today has a weak right channel. The amp might be busted or something. Can today get any worse?

Release?

January 14th, 2010

I’ve been promising a release for a while.
I’m sending out demo’s and possibly a I/O release too.

2010

January 8th, 2010

Alot going on…

- My net-label is up with a new look and a lot of cool things still coming it’s way (such as a forum with a custom design by me): http://www.ionetlabel.com

- Pressing the new album on my record label by Phasen: http://www.unnamedlabel.com

- I got a bunch of circuit components in the mail today, finishing up a bunch of old projects that are still laying around my room. Video’s and samples should be coming soon.

- Going back to school in a few weeks.

Happy new year.

Dec/25/09 – Post 2

December 25th, 2009

About a week ago I was digging through my garage remembering I had stashed a broken keyboard there. I did find it and with my amazing (not so amazing) soldering skills I managed to get it to power on! It’s a Concert-mate 450, and after a little bit of online research to my amazement… it’s an exact same copy of a Casio SA-20. Not joke, all the components, case, sounds, are identical. Other then the brand name printed on it of course. Anyway I ended up circuit bending it, and it’s almost done for show! Expect a youtube video of it soon.
Also I bought a new device which I’m not going to say what, but I am going to be using it as a midi controller next time I get a gig. You’ll just have to wait and see what it is. ;]
